SPOT Consulting Central Slovenia 2023–2025

Operation Name: Public Call for Providing Comprehensive Services for Potential Entrepreneurs and Companies through Support Institutions for the Period from 2023 to 2025 – for the Central Slovenia Region

The project's purpose is to provide a supportive environment that will, from November 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025, provide free and regionally accessible support services for entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs throughout the territory of the Republic of Slovenia.

SPOT, the Slovenian Business Point, is a place where potential entrepreneurs as well as micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises have access to free advisory, informational, training, registration, and entrepreneurial mentoring services.

The services of the supportive environment will contribute to:

  • Strengthening entrepreneurial potential,
  • Accelerating the establishment of new companies,
  • Increasing the number of newly established companies, especially those achieving higher added value compared to the Slovenian average,
  • Increasing the survival rate of newly established companies,
  • Overcoming obstacles on the entrepreneurial path.

The services include:

  • Promotion of entrepreneurial culture:

- Information and promotion,
- SPOT Consulting events.

  • Implementation of comprehensive support services:

- Basic SPOT consulting,
- Training provided by SPOT advisors,
- Training and events conducted by entrepreneurial mentors,
- Entrepreneurial mentoring.

Digi Info Points - Assistance in Using Digital Public Services

The Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia (OZS), as the leading partner, together with the network of regional chambers of craft and small business and the Post of Slovenia, participates in the DIGI INFO POINTS project, funded by the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Throughout the country, there are 222 Digi info points, one in each municipality in Slovenia and several in certain urban municipalities, where advisors provide daily advice and assistance in using digital public services to all residents of Slovenia, significantly contributing to the enhancement of digital competencies. As of October 13, 2023, there is also a Digi info point at the Regional Chamber of Craft and Small Business in Logatec.

Digi info points operate at least five days a week, for at least 18 hours per week (minimum 3 days in the morning and 2 days in the afternoon) until the end of 2024. Consultations are conducted in the Slovenian language, and in areas where the autochthonous Italian or Hungarian national community resides, consultations are also provided in the language of the national community.

Qualified advisors at Digi info points provide advice and user support on the use of digital public services to each individual in an understandable manner, including:

  • Use of electronic identity cards and related mobile applications,
  • Login to electronic services and electronic signing,
  • Access to information on the work of state administration on the gov.si portal,
  • Access to electronic services on the eGovernment portal,
  • Registration and login to the SPOT portal,
  • Use of eHealth services on the zVEM portal,
  • Access to e-services of the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute (ZPIZ),
  • Use of the state tax portal eTax,
  • Access to the electronic land registry,
  • Use of electronic vignettes on the DARS portal,
  • Services related to education and scholarships,
  • Services of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food and the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, Volos portal.

SPOT Consulting Central Slovenia 2023

Public call for providing comprehensive services for potential entrepreneurs and companies through support institutions for the year 2023. The subject of the public call is financing the provision of free services at 12 Slovenian business points.

Purpose:

  • Support and assistance to potential entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (in accordance with the Entrepreneurship Support Environment Act), facing entrepreneurial challenges throughout the territory of the Republic of Slovenia, and improving entrepreneurial culture.
  • Strengthening the entrepreneurial potential for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
  • Promoting the establishment of new micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

Objectives:

  • Encouraging the emergence and operation of companies, especially start-up companies,
  • Promoting entrepreneurship, particularly by facilitating the exploitation of new ideas in the economy and accelerating the establishment of new companies, also through entrepreneurial incubators,
  • Increasing awareness and knowledge to address challenges on the entrepreneurial path in all phases of the entrepreneurial cycle,
  • Increasing early entrepreneurial activity,
  • Increasing the number of companies receiving non-financial support.

Period: January 1, 2023 – October 31, 2023

The project is co-financed with the support of the European Regional Development Fund, the Ministry of Economy, Tourism, and Sports, and SPIRIT Slovenia, a public agency.

Business Economic Renewal to Enhance strategic Development and Innovation in Alpine Space - BE-READI ALPS

BE-READI ALPS intends to contribute to the enhancement of the innovative and digital fabric of the Alpine space, designing and testing initiatives to develop an Alpine living lab that stimulates traditional SMEs to launch a "second life", through the creation of value chains extended at interregional level.

The partnership includes 14 partners from six Alpine countries (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland): 5 chambers, 3 innovation agencies, 1 internationalization agency, 1 national financial agency, 1 university, 1 start-up, 2 companies specialized in private investment and digitalization support.

OOZ Logatec acts as a BE READI point (full member).

Innovative marketing tools for the global competitiveness of the SMEs in the cross-border area - NUVOLAK2

The main common objective was the development, introduction, and dissemination of innovative marketing tools with on-line support on the Mikrobiz platform, in order to increase the innovation level of start-ups and SMEs in an international and multicultural environment, as well as the development of marketing skills, cross-border cooperation, and networking among the main actors in the field of innovation, in order to achieve global competitiveness.

SPOT Consulting Central Slovenia

SPOT Consulting points offer a wide range of content services that help potential entrepreneurs to increase competitiveness in the market. Regionally organized SPOT Consulting points, in addition to implementing registration, termination and status change procedures, offer a wide range of services:

  • informing, in the sense of regular and up-to-date informing of clients about activities, tenders and events in the field of entrepreneurship promotion;
  • trainings and workshops aimed at strengthening the knowledge, skills and competencies of participants in areas related to the promotion of entrepreneurial culture;
  • basic consulting to clients in areas ranging from the preparation of business plans, marketing and business management, as well as to the internationalization of companies and government incentives, where such consulting can take place either by phone or e-mail, mostly by visiting the client at SPOT regions;
  • animating and connecting the regional environment in order to create closer cooperation between all actors in the region, including the organization of cross-border integration events with related institutions in neighboring countries and enterpreteurs;
  • exchange of good practices and opening of new business opportunities within Slovenia, as well as cross-border for potential entrepreneurs as for small and medium-sized enterprises.
  • co-creation of a support environment for business entities, which includes reporting on perceived administrative barriers by consultants, meeting of the support environment in the region and presentation of products of regional companies at one exhibition site in the region.

Management of musculoskeletal diseases and injuries at work in craft sector

The project focused on two key health issues that characterize employees in craft activities. These are musculoskeletal disorders and injuries at work. Many of these conditions could be prevented or mitigated, so the objectives of this project also relate to the dissemination of promotion and good practice for reducing injuries at work and reducing the number of musculoskeletal disorders.

Transfer of ownership in family businesses

The aim was to encourage stakeholders in the field of entrepreneurship promotion to promote the importance of family entrepreneurship and raise awareness of family business owners about the importance of preparation and various techniques of business transfer to successors, presentation of good practices and management in family entrepreneurship.

Membership in the LEADER and CLLD Local Action Group

OOZ Logatec is a member of the program committee of the Local Action Group for the implementation of the LEADER and CLLD approach in the area of the municipalities of Logatec, Idrija and Cerkno. CLLD (Community-Led Local Development) is an extended approach that allows the involvement of several funds in the implementation of local development, which will be implemented by Local Action Groups in the period 2015-2020 and are subject to co-financing from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund or the European Regional Development Fund.
